The first "pop"

I've heard from several friends that there's a point where your baby belly just "pops" and you can finally tell that the mom-to-be isn't just getting chubby but there's a baby growing inside. This has recently happened, in a small way, but its a start.  It occurred last Sunday to be exact.  I'm 5 months along now and until very recently most of my Mexican friends would look at me with this "you've got to be kidding" look--like I was joking about being pregnant.  Well, now there's a little proof. 

Changes Ahead...

This becomes more evident each day and each time we talk to people with kids. Mostly they tell us to enjoy the sleep we have now and any dates we like to take together, we should do before the baby is born.  The photos below are also fun little reminders of what lies ahead....(and you'll notice that the baby already likes dark chocolate--that is what's contained in the little stocking). 

Baby Sorensen 18 weeks

Here is a profile view of the little guy/girl.  The image comes and goes some but at the end of the clip you can see a little heartbeat.  We also heard it.  It's so fun to see what's going on inside me and know that all is healthy and well!   The baby's gender should be announced in the weeks to come.

This section of video made me laugh. You're looking at an image below the baby and you can see it's bum and legs moving around. At the end you see a little hand waving to his/her family.
