Baby loves the beach

We've made it to the third trimester....time is flying! Last week we spent some time at the Tijuana Playas with the group of participants from our Baja Experience Week. Steph & baby didn't do a lot of running around but enjoyed watching everyone else (those who live inland especially enjoyed it).

Brave Ryan

We've posted mostly about Steph and baby so it's time to give Ryan some attention. Today was his turn at the doctor. We realized it's been over 15 years since he's had a regular check up and considering the fact that we live in the land of carne asada, it'd be good to look over cholesterol levels.  Drawing blood, however, was not an easy task.  Apparently he has great veins but they're hard to get to. So I watched the nurse dig around to find some blood. It didn't look like it felt too good.  Eventually, to doctor came in and got the sample he needed. After that, we decided to go for the grown up version of getting a lollipop for being good at the doctor's office....we went to Maya Java CafĂ©, one of our favorite coffee places in Tijuana.

Construction

Baby Sorensen has been learning construction noises the last month.  In fact, the first time Ryan started up a chop saw, she jumped.  I can plug my ears but she can't!  Last week Ecola Bible School's Mexico Mission's team was with us.  Aside from various projects at the Castillo (check out our other blog for pictures-www.bajaandbeyond.blogspot.com), they built a few houses with Caravans & volunteered with a few other ministries. Mostly I worked at the Castillo but this was one day baby and I went out with the house building team.
